About Us
In keeping with its origins as a “family minyan”, Congregation Chabad Lubavitch of New Haven, Inc. has as its primary charge the unity and brotherly love of all Jews. Congregation Chabad shall be a hub of Traditional Orthodox Judaism in New Haven, CT.
Our Shul was founded together with the Yeshivah Gedolah Rabbinical Institute of New England (today known as Yeshivas Beis Dovid Shlomo) over 40 years ago by R’ Dovid Deitsch, of blessed memory, by the instruction of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
Baruch HaShem—thank G-d—our Shul has grown substantially over the past 10 years, leading us to redefine ourselves as a standalone congregation. Today we are one of the largest Chabad shuls in the Northeast, thank G-d. With G-d’s help, we look forward to our continued growth, and greeting you in person!
Congregation Chabad Lubavitch is dedicated to creating a healthy, uplifting, and supportive environment for Jewish worship, outreach, friendship, and vibrant community. We are committed to educating young and old in Torah, as well as providing daily Jewish services, classes, and programs.
Congregation Chabad Lubavitch promotes and sustains the concepts of Traditional Judaism through adherence to Orthodox Jewish Law (Halacha) and Chabad-Lubavitch custom. We warmly welcome all members of the Jewish community to participate in our services and learning programs.
